Spiritual Gifts

Bless others with your unique talents!

I Corinthians 12:7-11 describes just a few of the unique spiritual gifts given by our Heavenly Father to us, His children. The verses mention the gifts of wisdom, faith, healing, and even the working of miracles!

Those are incredible gifts; but what if none of those amazing gifts seem to apply to us? What if we feel like we were at the back of the line when spiritual gifts were being handed out?

Mikihisa Kato felt like he wasn’t good at much of anything, until he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While on his mission, he discovered that he had the ability to serve others and share the gospel, and that changed his perspective about his spiritual gifts.

Elder Kato wrote, “When we feel inferior to others, all we have to remember is our capacity to share goodness with the world, in big ways and small…we are all capable of sharing light, and our service can help others prepare to meet the Savior.”

No matter what spiritual gifts we’ve been given, large or small, we can all share light!

And that’s today’s reason to smile.
