If you’re feeling discouraged, depressed, or just a little out of sorts, one of the things that can help is counting your blessings. If you’re in a really bad mood, you might need to start with a little blessings, the silly ones, to cheer yourself up first. My silly-reasons list always begins with cheeseburgers!
Remember the words of the hymn, Count Your Blessings:
“When upon life‘s billows you are tempest tossed;
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost;
Count your many blessings, name them one by one;
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done!*
Try it for yourself, it works! The Lord has given us so many things to be thankful for, we'll always be able to find a blessing if we try.
And that’s today’s reason to smile! 😊
